Green Going Making a Living with Sustainable Practices By Kelli Karpinski There is a movement afoot in Oshkosh to bring sustainable practices and opportunities to the masses. The Oshkosh Food Coop is in the process of becoming a business, offering a communityowned grocery store that sells locallysourced foods. The Oshkosh Farmers Market has grown exponentially in the past couple of years, thanks to a move to North Main Street, coupled with guests growing desire to eat fresh foods. But, its not j

vision is that products would be sourced from a sustainable farm, with sustainability based on minimum standards, and sold within the same region so that the quality of food and intimacy of each region is not compromised. The requirement also calls for students to take general education classes that also integrate civic engagement and understanding of other cultures.
