OVS 100th BIRthDAY CELEBRAtION More than 400 students, faculty members, and staff attended Ojai Valley Schools 100th birthday celebration on January 12, 2011. Hermes, who for 34 years served as president and chief executive officer of Ojai Valley School and who was instrumental in leading the school through a period of fiscal uncertainty to an era of growth and prosperity, died Feb. 19 after a long battle with cancer. He was 73. An alumnus of OVS, Hermes took over as head of the school in 1975, following eight years as CEO of the United Way of Ventura County. But his connection with the school began much earli

Born to parents David and Martha Meek, Jennifer spent her early childhood in Carmel, CA. The family later relocated to the central valley, where Jennifer attended grade school. Suzanne was born in Los Angeles, California, and grew up in Malibu, where she loved the beaches and riding horseback in the canyons surrounding her home.
